How to Hide Password Protect a Folder in Windows 10 Without Any third party Software
Here, I will be able to tell you a trick that will assist you to lock and conceal any folder without installing any third-party software. With just a simple .bat file, you'll protect your folders easily.
- First of all, open the folder you'd wish to secure with a password. For Eg: create a folder named “windows,” and add 2 to three files of your choice you would like to add.

Now, create a text document inside the same folder. you'll name the
document according to your choice. I’m naming it “Locker.txt”
- Click here, and you’ll be redirected to a Google drive. Copy the code given on the notepad and paste it into the text file that you’ve created in the last step.

Now, open the text file and move your cursor to line number 21(if NOT %pass%== YOUR-PASSWORD goto FAIL). Replace YOUR-PASSWORD with the password of your choice. For Eg: use
“hello” as a password.
- Now, click on the File option within the highest left corner of notepad. Click on the Save as button and save the file as “Locker.bat.”{Note: you'll give any name to the folder but the extension should be .bat }

Now, double click on the “Locker.bat,” and a folder named “Private” are
going to be created automatically.
- Move all the files you would like to cover inside the Private folder that we’ve just created within the last step.
- Again double click on the “Locker.bat” A prompt window will open asking you that “Are you sure you would like to lock this folder?”. Type Y and hit enter.
- Once you hit enter, your Private folder goes to be automatically hidden, and only Locker.bat are getting to be visible to you.
- To open your secured folder, double click on the Locker.bat file. A prompt window will open asking you the password of the secured folder.
- Type the password and hit enter. Once you are doing that, your hidden folder is going to be showing you successfully.
- If you would like to cover your Private folder again, all you would like to try to do is double-click on the “Locker.bat” file again.
- So that’s how you'll easily hide your private files without using any additional software.
