So today I have bought a detailed Smartphone buying guide about everything, every factor you should keep in mind before choosing your Smartphone.

1. Display - LCD vs Amoled 

You probably must have heard about these two types of displays. But you really know what are the major difference between them?

Firstly let's talk about LCD Displays
LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display.
  • It's a type of flat panel display which uses liquid crystals in its the primary form of operation.
  • In LCD display panels, it uses a single light source and reflects it all over the display
  • They have a thick panel on display
  • the color accuracy and contrast is low because only one light source is present
  • In IPS LCD displays in-display Fingerprint Sensor cant be used
  • they have a high display life span (4-6 years because no organic material is used.

Secondly, AMOLED Displays
AMOLED Stand for Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode
  • In AMOLED display panels, it uses multiple light sources as pixels, which is spread all over the display in a systematic way
  • They have a thin panel on display
  • the color accuracy and contrast is high because of multiple light sources

  • they have a low display life span (3-4 years) because organic material is used as a layer.

2. Processor- Mediatek vs Snapdragon

In today's world processor plays a major role, it's is the core of every smartphone, There are two major processor chip manufacturing companies for smartphones - Mediatek and Snapdragon.

Both companies are in a race to capture the whole chip industry.

the most recommended processors according to price tags of Smartphones are shown below:

Below 10000- Mediatek helio G35 or Mediatek helio G70

Below 20000-  Mediatek dimensity 800U or Snapdragon 750G

Below 30000- Mediatek dimensity 1100 or Snapdragon 765G

Below 50000- Snapdragon 865 or Mediatek dimensity 1200

Above 50000- Snapdragon 888


3. Ram - 6,8 GB

RAM stands for Random Access Memory.  RAM is basically temporary storage that stores the memory of apps you have opened since you have turned on your smartphone.

The more RAM your phone has, the more quick and fast your apps load and access.

The recommended RAMs are 6GB, 8GB RAM for daily usage.

4. Internal storage- 64, 128GB

As the name suggests Internal Storage is the storage placed inside the Smartphone and they store music, videos, files, and all app data.

The recommended Internal storages are 128GB and 256GB for daily usage.

5. Camera: Megapixels

The camera plays a major role in users of today's generation almost everyone takes pictures of all the good things that happened to them and stores it as a memory of their life and nowadays Smartphone cameras are coming closer to high DSLR camera quality. Better the Megapixel count, the more quality the picture will be.
Now `the highest Megapixel available to a Smartphone is 108MP
The recommended Camera sensors are 64MP IMX682  and 50MP IMX766 or 108MP  for daily usage.

6. Battery and charging

In the busy schedule, we often didn't get time to charge our Smartphones. batter capacity should be more for those busy people with fast charging technology.
Nowadays usually 4500mAh or 5000mAh  with 30Watt or 65 Watt Fast Charging is recommended ideal or else Bigger the battery storage heavier your smartphone will be.

Speakers will play a major role if you are a Gamer or watches many movies on Smartphones.  most of the Smartphones are provided with mono speakers or down-firing Speakers, In which sound volume will be low and no surround experience.
In Good priced Smartphones they Provide Stereo Speaker i.e there will be two speaker one on the top as front-firing and one in the bottom as down-firing. This helps in experiencing surround sound quality.

10. Refresh Rate: 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz

If you are Pro Gamer they surely you will be aware of this term. It's basically, the standard is given to display about which how many times smartphone display refreshes itself per second.
The standard refresh rate in Smartphone is 60Hz.
In mid-ranger smartphones, 90Hz display is given, and in high-end smartphones, 120Hz is given.

The more the refresh rates, the more smooth the screen will glide through your fingers.
